Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) on August 13, 2026, issued a circular regarding discontinuation of the Separate Window for Open Market Buybacks.

The following has been stated: -

•NSE has discontinued the separate window for open market buybacks effective August 01, 2026, pursuant to the amended SEBI Buy-Back Regulations. 

•Members undertaking buybacks must use the normal Unique Client Code (UCC) for order entry. 

•UCCs beginning with “BUYBACK*” or “BUYBACK”** must not be used for buyback order entry. 

•The change follows SEBI’s amended Buy-Back of Securities Regulations, 2018, dated July 06, 2026.
